Our first pan-European Patient Hackathon
At Daiichi Sankyo, we believe it is time to redesign healthcare with a true patient focus, by harnessing the latest technology and an improved understanding of the challenges patients face.
At some point in our lives, all of us may know someone who has been affected by cardiovascular disease. It remains Europe’s leading cause of death, responsible for more than 10,000 deaths every day1. And while prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease have seen substantial progress in recent decades, more can be done to help people lead healthier lives.
About CardioXplore
CardioXplore is our approach to finding new ways of helping. It is a two-day innovation event during which about 120 participants across Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Spain and Turkey will seek to find new solutions for improving the treatment journeys of cardiovascular patients across Europe. By looking at cardiovascular health through the eyes of the patients – and those who stand beside them – we, at Daiichi Sankyo, seek to understand their needs and experiences, and to develop solutions that best support them, their caregivers and their healthcare teams.
We believe that healthcare can be improved by bringing together like-minded, caring groups and individuals, who share our passion and commitment to protecting lives from cardiovascular disease.
Our joint goal for CardioXplore is to help prevent as many people as possible from experiencing the negative impacts of cardiovascular disease, and to help protect those who are affected so that they can enjoy every precious moment that life has to offer.
