What is your role at Daiichi Sankyo? Can you describe what you are doing every day?
My role is officially titled “Director Medical Affairs” but what does really mean – I juggle many different projects daily. As part of the cross-functional launch team, my role is to provide a medical and clinical data perspective on key content creation and activities. I also act as medical reviewer on much of the content. Other roles include being the Lead of Life Cycle Management, which involves facilitating the design and roll out of our clinical trials and study programs. Since I am also in the medical “e-team” I also provide strategic input into shaping medical affairs.
What motivates you to work for Daiichi Sankyo?
It might sound clichéd, but I am motivated by the company values to show integrity and to act as a partner with our clinicians to ultimately benefit patients with appropriate treatment.
How would you describe the working culture at Daiichi Sankyo?
Friendly, enjoyable and dynamic.
What has been your biggest challenge in your job so far and how did you overcome it?
Relocating to a new country with the family was the biggest challenge. This is very much a balancing act since I have to support the needs of my daily workload at DSE and also help my family to settle into their new environment. My line manager and wider team remain ever supportive and offer useful advice and practical support whenever I need it.
